The Buzz (talk show)
''The Buzz'', stylized as ''The Buzz 15'' and formerly known as ''Buzz Ng Bayan'', is a weekly entertainment news and talk show in the Philippines. It premiered on June 13, 1999, and was the second longest-running weekly entertainment news and talk show in Philippine television after GMA Network's ''Startalk''. It featured local celebrity gossip and news.
''The Buzz'' viewers were surprised when the show got cancelled with its official final episode airing on April 5, 2015, in order to give way more time slots for ''Kapamilya Blockbusters'' and the then-upcoming Asian dramas such as ''Let's Get Married'' and ''My Lovely Girl''. It was temporarily occupied by ''Kapamilya Mega Blockbusters'' since April 12, 2015, and the talk show will be permanently replaced by a new Asian drama or a new program soon between the last quarter of 2015 or first quarter of 2016. The reason for the talk show's ending was Kris Aquino's decision to leave the show; however in the end, the abrupt cancellation of ''The Buzz'' was all in favor of promoting the upcoming acquired Asian dramas on ABS-CBN. However, the show was put on hiatus along with the game shows ''The Singing Bee'' and ''Bet on Your Baby'' and never returned.
